From an early age Michael showed a profound interest in the arts. Whether it was building a spacecraft out of Legos or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, if it required creativity Michael was excited about practicing it. He continued to excel in all forms of art throughout primary and secondary school, eventually focusing on Graphic Design as his main area of study in college. His studies included drawing, painting, sculpting, digital photography, color theory, art history, and the Adobe suite. While studying at Norwalk Community College in Connecticut, Michael discovered the art of tattooing perchance through a friend. The passion he found for this new medium would carry him to where he is today.
Tattooing professionally since 2011, Michael has been able to expand upon his formal training. He has had the opportunity to work along side and learn from some of the most talented and established artists in the New England and Central Florida areas. Connecting with new artists and exploring different media and techniques has allowed Michael to be able to create a broad portfolio, enveloping many different styles. The passion, professionalism, and personality that he puts into his work has built him a dedicated client basis expanding across the country. Michael's clientele is one of the most important aspects and driving forces behind his artwork. He has become close personal friends with many people who began as tattoo clients, and in 2016 teamed up with one of those friends to open Homesick Tattoo Studio & Gallery in Oviedo, Florida.
Opening a studio has been a goal of Michael's since the day he picked up a machine. His concept behind Homesick, and the reason for it's name, is based around creating an artist community in which everyone can feel comfortable and at home. Sharing art in a variety of forms is the primary goal of Homesick, and it achieves this by hosting events and gallery openings frequently that are free of charge to the public. It is through the opening of the studio that Michael has been able continue to pursue his ever growing curiosity and desire for all things art related. There's no telling which way Michael's path leads from here, but it will always be one of inspiration, dedication, and intensity.
